The role of Quick Service Restaurant Supervisor is a critical position within NBCUniversal’s hospitality operations, particularly in their branded quick service dining establishments. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $27.00 to $30.00 per hour and involves overseeing the daily operations of high-volume food service locations. The supervisor is responsible for supporting and maintaining compliance with all food quality, safety, labor, and union regulations while ensuring an outstanding guest experience. This role requires leadership skills such as coaching, mentoring, team building, and operational planning to cultivate a cohesive and efficient team.
The supervisor supports employee and guest satisfaction programs by ensuring staff understands their significance and delivers exceptional service. They manage both hourly and seasonal supervisory staff by providing work direction, conducting performance reviews, and coaching to improve team effectiveness. The role includes enforcement of union contract compliance, handling administrative duties like scheduling and sanitation checklists, and maintaining labor budgets by adjusting operations accordingly.
A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment while fostering positive internal relationships. The supervisor acts as a representative for environmental health and safety, ensuring regulations are followed and supporting employee wellbeing. Additionally, the role involves workforce planning, organizing employee recognition and satisfaction initiatives, and providing support for special events and projects.
NBCUniversal seeks candidates with at least a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years management experience in high-volume food service operations, ideally with a team of 10 or more employees. The ideal candidate is skilled in quick service food environments, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and is comfortable working in fast-paced, team-oriented settings. Experience in a union environment and theme parks is preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Point of Service systems like EATEC and Clarity is essential.

- Must comply with union contract regulations
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Point of Service systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years management and food industry experience with multiple large high-volume food service operations and managing a team of 10+ employees
- Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and nights in varying weather conditions
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in hospitality management or business administration preferred
- Experienced in quick food service
- Must be able to express ideas clearly and logically and should love to write
- Must demonstrate good judgment and a strong sense of ethics in deciding how to respond to guests concerns and issues while keeping company business models in mind
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, food related Point of Service system (i.e. EATEC & Clarity)
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Able to provide creative solutions to guest situations
- Ability to work in a high paced, repetitive teamwork environment
- Theme park experience preferred
- Experience managing in a union environment
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Quick thinker with the ability to make sound decisions
- Able to manage effectively under deadlines
- Previous experience with creating and managing budgets
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, employment, and Union guidelines, as well as Company policies and procedures
- Support the employee and guest satisfaction programs and ensure the staff understands the importance of the programs
- Supervise all hourly staff and Seasonal Supervisory staff, provide work direction, performance reviews, and coaching to team
- Ensure company compliance with Union contracts regarding employee work conditions, maintaining discipline and replacing open shifts
- Complete administrative responsibilities for the department including team member schedules, FOH & BOH operational, cleanliness and sanitation checklists
- Mentor and counsel team members and enforce appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance of departmental standards
- Observe, critique, and adjust the daily functions of departmental personnel and standard operating procedures to provide quality guest service
