Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and one-year related experience or associate’s degree and two years related experience
- supervisory experience preferred
- valid food handler's permit in state of California
- experience working with youth
- excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency

Job Duties
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the administrative and food service activities of the department
- log menu items seven days in advance including dietary preferences or allergies
- fulfill to-go meal orders for work-based learning students or others
- evaluate staff performance, provide training, and recommend personnel changes
- assist in development and implementation of food service policies and procedures
- plan the menu and ensure quality of meals
- review and audit food service areas for compliance and effectiveness
- conduct inspections of food service areas
- manage food preparation for special functions and visitors
- provide appetizing, nutritious and proportioned meals in a clean environment
- maintain cost control within budget and assist in inventory control
- coordinate cafeteria services with culinary arts program
- conduct monthly surveys to assess student satisfaction
- maintain a safe and clean work area
- provide quality customer service to students and staff
- participate in student employability programs
- support and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy
- promote career success standards by mentoring and monitoring behaviors
- maintain accountability of students and property and adhere to safety practices
- perform other duties as assigned within capabilities
