Operating full-time with a schedule that includes variable 8- or 10-hour shifts from early morning to evening, this position is designed for individuals looking to contribute meaningfully to patient care through specialized food service management.

The role of Supervisor Food Service is critical to the hospital's food service operations, encompassing meal planning, preparation, and serving across multiple outlets including patient meals, retail food venues, and catering services. The supervisor ensures that all food is prepared and served in a manner that meets or exceeds quality, safety, and sanitation standards. The supervisor will demonstrate human resources management skills, effectively overseeing staffing and employee development to foster a productive and motivated team. Additionally, administrative responsibilities are an essential part of the position, requiring timely and results-oriented leadership.

Candidates for this role should have a solid educational background in Food Service Management or Culinary Arts, preferably at the bachelor or associate degree level. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma/GED who commit to certification programs like the Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and serve safe certification are also considered. Experience in food production, supervisory roles, and proficiency with MS Office applications are key to success. Healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

The Supervisor Food Service works onsite, playing a pivotal role in the daily operations and overall success of food service delivery within the healthcare environment.
