The Food Outlet Supervisor role at Great Wolf is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing daily food outlet operations within the lodge. This position is designed to ensure seamless execution of business standards, support the food and beverage team, and enhance guest experiences while maximizing profitability. The supervisor leads by example, providing coaching and encouragement to team members known as Pack Members, ensuring that service quality, sanitation, safety, and operational protocols are strictly followed. The role involves hands-on involvement in Point of Sale transactions, staff scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining outlet cleanliness and organization throughout shifts.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum of 1 year experience in a food service leadership capacity
  • minimum of 1 year experience utilizing Point-of-Sale (POS) technology
  • experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • basic math skills as they apply to cash handling
  • proficient in both written and spoken English
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum of 1 year experience in a food service leadership capacity
  • minimum of 1 year experience utilizing Point-of-Sale (POS) technology
  • experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • demonstrated customer service, conflict resolution, employee engagement, retention, and team building skills
  • basic math skills as they apply to cash handling
  • proficient in both written and spoken English
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • associates degree or higher in hospitality or related field preferred
  • prior experience with Micros POS preferred
  • Serve-Safe and/or TIPS certification preferred
  • previous hotel experience preferably in a large family resort or hotel preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervises daily food outlet operations to ensure successful execution of all lodge standards and completion of daily tasks and assignments
  • assists with the overall operation of the restaurants including Point of Sale transactions, expediting, re-stocking, and ensuring staff breaks
  • ensures outlets are sanitized, cleaned, stocked, and set up correctly throughout shifts while adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to pack members
  • responds to pack and guest concerns and escalates to leadership as appropriate
  • participates in scheduling, labor management, and forecasting
  • performs daily audits to ensure optimal operation
  • conducts daily stand-up meetings to prioritize the day and facilitate feedback
  • monitors staff performance providing real-time feedback and coaching
  • participates in recruitment and selection of talent
  • partners with leadership to develop and execute guest service and team engagement action plans
  • supports pack performance management including employee reviews, corrective action, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • maintains quality of operation by ensuring service excellence, inventory levels, and equipment operation
  • assists in developing and monitoring safety programs compliant with regulations
