Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, offering a wide array of solutions in food services, facilities management, and integrated support services across numerous industries. With a presence in many countries, Sodexo aims to improve everyday life and create a better future for communities, clients, and employees alike. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where each employee is valued for their individuality, respected, and encouraged to contribute their ideas. Sodexo believes in the impact of daily actions and the importance of purposeful work, striving to support the well-being and growth of its workforce.

The role of Food Stand Supervisor at Sodexo, located at the Hard Rock Stadium, is a part-time position offering competitive pay ranging from $21.63 to $29.19 per hour. This role is vital to the seamless operations of food service stands during various events, ranging from kiosks and portable locations to grab-and-go or self-service food concepts. The Food Stand Supervisor ensures efficient service delivery, adherence to operational standards, and consistently positive customer experiences during high-volume, dynamic events.

This position requires a leader who can manage staff assignments, maintain proper inventory control, and handle on-site problem solving while serving as the key liaison between customer service teams and unit leaders. Supervisors play an essential role in supporting the onboarding and training of new staff members, directing service flow, and maintaining safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies at all assigned locations. Their responsibilities vary depending on the size of the venue, event type, and service models, demanding adaptability and strong organizational skills.

Shift schedules vary, and open availability is preferred to meet the demands of different event timings. The supervisor is expected to lead pre-shift meetings to clarify expectations, review menus, service standards, and specific task assignments, ensuring all team members are prepared for operations. Addressing customer concerns promptly and escalating issues to management as necessary are critical components of the role to maintain Sodexo's high standard of customer satisfaction.

Physical aspects of the job require supervisors to lift and move items frequently up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds, reflecting the hands-on nature of this supervisory position within a fast-paced event environment.

Sodexo offers a supportive and flexible work environment, recognizing the importance of work-life balance. Employees have access to continuous training and development opportunities, paving the way for career advancement. Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401k plans, discount programs, and, in some locations, additional perks such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety footwear, and assistance with transportation costs or parking.

As a company committed to equal opportunity, Sodexo ensures all employment and career development practices are free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, military status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Sodexo's core values focus on respect, inclusion, and personal growth, creating a workplace where employees can thrive and bring their authentic selves to work. This role offers a meaningful career path for those passionate about customer service, event operations, and team leadership within a global organization dedicated to improving quality of life.
