The role of Supervisor de puestos de comida (Food Station Supervisor) at Sodexo in Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex is a part-time position offering an hourly wage ranging from $21.63 to $29.19. This position requires working varying shifts with open availability preferred. As a Food Station Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing food station operations during events. This includes ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with operational standards, and providing a positive customer experience at food stations, kiosks, portable locations, and autonomous sales concepts. This role suits individuals who thrive in dynamic, high-volume environments and have the ability to adapt responsibilities based on event size, type, and service models. The supervisor conducts pre-shift briefings to align the team on expectations, menus, service standards, and tasks. You will also handle customer concerns promptly, escalating issues to management when needed. Supporting the onboarding and training of staff and leaders is another integral duty. The role involves physical requirements such as frequently lifting and moving up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts are essential. Depending on the location, additional tasks may be assigned reflecting the unique needs of the business and clients.

Working at Sodexo offers a supportive and flexible work environment designed to help you balance important life moments. Employees benefit from ongoing training and development opportunities, as well as potential career advancement within the company. A full suite of benefits supports employee and family well-being, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plans, and discount programs. Some locations provide additional site-specific benefits such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation support.

Joining Sodexo means being part of a company committed to improving daily life and fostering economic, social, and environmental progress in the communities it serves. Sodexo values your individuality, ensures you are treated with respect, and invites your ideas and feedback. The company believes that a strong team is built when employees are happy and supported at work.
