The position of Supervisor Food Services/Chef at Baptist Health is a vital leadership role aligning with the organization’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of the communities it serves. The role mandates overseeing the daily operations of food production and service throughout the hospital, ensuring that meals provided are high-quality, well-balanced, and cost-effective. This stewardship is conducted in strict adherence to standards set by The Joint Commission (TJC), HACCP standards, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
This role requires a dynamic, enthusiastic leader who exemplifies the values and culture of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF). The Supervisor Food Services/Chef is expected to motivate and maintain an engaged team, establish and uphold operational standards with guidance from the Operations Manager or Director, and implement continuous quality improvements communicated clearly to all team members. The position also demands strong leadership skills to manage and inspire a sizeable food services team while ensuring impeccable food safety and quality standards.
The estimated pay range for the Supervisor Food Services/Chef role is $23.21 to $30.17 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Qualifications
- associates degree
- food safety manager certification
- bachelor degree in culinary arts preferred
- basic knowledge of dietetics
- previous supervision of 12 or more staff members
- three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience preferred
- hospital, healthcare, and catering experience
