Job Requirements

  • associate degree
  • food safety manager certification required within 90 days of job entry
  • basic knowledge of dietetics
  • previous supervision of 12 or more staff members
  • three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience preferred
  • hospital/healthcare and catering experience

  • three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience in quality food production preferred
  • hospital/healthcare and catering experience

Job Duties

  • direct daily operations of food production and service throughout the hospital
  • ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, HACCP standards, AHCA and local, state, and federal laws
  • role model Baptist Health’s values and culture focusing on quality, safety, service, knowledge, and diversity
  • motivate and maintain an engaged food service team
  • establish operating standards with Operations Manager/Director
  • implement quality improvements and communicate those to the team
  • oversee food safety and sanitation programs
