Job Description

Baptist Health stands as the region's largest not-for-profit healthcare organization, encompassing a network of 12 hospitals, over 29,000 dedicated employees, 4,500 physicians, and 200 outpatient centers, urgent care facilities, and physician practices spread across Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Its reputation is built on internationally renowned centers of excellence in critical areas such as cancer, cardiovascular care, orthopedics and sports medicine, and neurosciences. The organization is supported by philanthropy and driven by a faith-based mission centered on medical excellence. For over 26 years, Baptist Health has consistently been recognized as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For, underscoring its commitment to a positive workplace culture and outstanding healthcare delivery. Additionally, in the 2025-2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital Rankings, Baptist Health emerged as the most awarded healthcare system in South Florida, earning 63 high-performing honors that highlight its dedication to quality and patient care.

What truly distinguishes Baptist Health is its people. The organization fosters personal connections among colleagues that extend beyond professional boundaries, creating a collaborative and supportive work environment. These meaningful relationships are also cultivated with patients and their families, emphasizing compassionate care that resonates deeply with the community it serves. Many team members at Baptist Health bring firsthand experiences as patients themselves, enriching their empathy and commitment to providing outstanding service. The culture at Baptist Health is purpose-driven, where every team member plays an essential role in positively impacting the lives of others. This collective commitment to caring is embedded in everything the organization does.

The organization's "grow our own" philosophy ensures that team members have access to career growth and development opportunities through clear pathways and ongoing support. Comprehensive health and wellness resources go beyond traditional benefits, including a wellness program aimed at reducing employees' medical plan deductibles, thereby lowering out-of-pocket healthcare costs. Tuition reimbursement further supports continued learning and professional advancement, demonstrating the organization's investment in its workforce. These benefits, paired with a culture that values diversity and inclusion, enable employees to build meaningful, long-term careers while making a significant difference in the lives of the community.

The role of Supervisor Food Services/Chef at Baptist Health is pivotal in advancing the organization's mission to enhance the health and well-being of individuals served by providing high-quality, well-balanced, and cost-effective meals.
