Job Description
ABM (NYSE: ABM) stands as one of the globe's foremost leaders in facility services and solutions. Established in 1909, ABM has solidified its reputation over more than a century by delivering essential, forward-looking performance services that enhance the quality of spaces and places that matter most to their diverse clients. With annual revenue nearing $8 billion and a workforce exceeding 100,000 employees dispersed over 350 offices, ABM establishes its presence not only across the United States but also in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. The company’s extensive facility services portfolio encompasses janitorial services, engineering, parking management, electrical and lighting solutions, energy-efficient infrastructure including electric vehicle charging stations, HVAC and mechanical maintenance, landscaping and turf management, as well as mission-critical solutions tailored to various industries.
ABM serves a broad spectrum of clients including commercial office buildings, educational institutions such as universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants and distribution centers, entertainment venues, and many other sectors. This diversity underscores ABM’s commitment to creating cleaner, healthier, and sustainable environments through a comprehensive suite of services designed to meet evolving client needs.
The Supervisor role at ABM is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing project execution, managing day-to-day team operations, and ensuring that performance goals aligned with client expectations are consistently met at a designated site. This role demands leadership skills to motivate and support staff while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. Supervisors act as the primary point of contact for client liaisons, building and sustaining strong relationships through regular communication, quality assurance, and prompt resolution of service issues.
Additionally, the Supervisor is tasked with training employees on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning protocols (including both standard and green-cleaning procedures), equipment operation, and property security measures. Safety is a paramount concern, and the Supervisor promotes a culture of safety adherence, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and maintaining relevant documentation such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Shift schedules vary with pay rates ranging from $25 per hour for first and second shifts to $26 per hour for third shifts. The position may also require emergency and off-hour availability to provide support as needed. Supervisors are expected to plan and assign work schedules thoughtfully to meet service delivery commitments, monitor employee attendance and timekeeping, and address staffing shortages by arranging substitutions or personally intervening to guarantee project completion.
Finally, ABM encourages supervisors to seek growth opportunities by identifying additional billable projects for new or existing clients, contributing to the company's revenue expansion. This role is integral for maintaining high service standards, fostering teamwork, and advancing ABM's mission of driving environmental excellence in facility solutions. Prospective candidates can expect a dynamic work environment supported by comprehensive employee benefits and an inclusive culture committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and support for individuals with disabilities and veterans.
