As an industry leader, Forward Air specializes in expedited less-than-truckload (LTL) services, offering a suite of transportation solutions including local pick-up and delivery, shipment consolidation and deconsolidation, warehousing, and customs brokerage. With a comprehensive national network of terminals, Forward Air is able to provide seamless logistics solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of its customers. Complementing its LTL services, the company also offers truckload brokerage, dedicated fleet services, and intermodal transportation, catering to high-value drayage for seaports, railheads, and various freight handling requirements. Forward Air’s comprehensive multimodal logistics solutions extend globally through its Omni Logistics division, which specializes in air, ocean, and ground services for mission-critical freight. This makes Forward Air not just a transportation provider, but a single integrated resource for shipping and logistics needs.

The opportunity at Forward Air is for the position of Dock Supervisor, a pivotal role within the freight and cargo operations team. This position is full-time, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 2pm to 10pm, onsite, and offers an annual salary of $58,000 with additional incentive opportunities. The role demands strong coordination abilities to assign job tasks effectively and to monitor and improve team performance continuously. Additionally, the supervisor will handle customer service issues related to dock activities, assist in facility security, and uphold facility appearance and safety standards.

Candidates ideally possess prior experience in air freight and supervisor roles within high-volume, fast-paced environments. This role requires practical knowledge of freight handling, hazardous materials management, and forklift operation.
