The Maintenance Supervisor role at CenterLight Healthcare is a critical position responsible for overseeing the maintenance and housekeeping functions of both the interiors and exteriors of all properties owned by the company. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two years experience in building maintenance and repairs
- One year experience in supervision of building personnel and services is preferable
- Ability to obtain technical licenses required by the City of New York within the first twelve months of employment including S-12, S-13, and S-95
- Ability to safely work in construction zones and mechanical rooms
- Physical ability to stand up to 8 hours daily
- Ability to sit for 6-8 hours consecutively
- Capacity to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
- Demonstrate agility and fine motor skills
- Visual ability to assess environments and read documentation accurately
- Audio and motor skills to communicate effectively
- Cognitive skills for decision-making and analysis
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Technical knowledge of building systems
- Two years’ experience in building maintenance and repairs
- One year experience in supervision of building personnel and services is preferable
- Ability to obtain technical licenses required by the City of New York within the first twelve months of employment including S-12: Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Sprinkler Systems, S-13: Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Standpipe Systems, and S-95: Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems
Job Duties
- Inspect all heating systems and perform necessary repairs and maintenance to gas and oil systems
- Inspect roofs, sewers, drains, and all public areas to determine necessary maintenance and housekeeping
- Inspect all utility rooms to determine repairs needed
- Assist the Maintenance Mechanic with day-to-day operation, removal of garbage, and cleaning exterior and chute
- Assist with completing all repairs found during annual inspections
- Perform daily and monthly preventive maintenance
- Determine the priority of work orders
- Participate in on-call rotation and assignments routinely and as needed
- Complete annual evaluation for the Maintenance Mechanics
- Schedule work orders and plan and complete repairs
- Maintain supplies inventory and notify Management Office
- Perform necessary electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs as needed
- Project future major and minor repairs and obtain necessary cost estimates
- Prepare and submit all necessary administrative reports
- Perform all other duties as assigned
