Job Description
Rocket Farm Restaurants is a well-established hospitality group known for its commitment to fostering a respectful and dignified work culture. Their core philosophy, "We serve the person who is serving the guest," highlights a unique approach where every team member is valued and cared for, starting within the kitchen environment and extending to guest experiences in the dining room. This philosophy sets Rocket Farm apart in the restaurant industry, promoting an ethical, supportive, and collaborative workplace atmosphere. The company operates several successful restaurant brands across multiple cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park, attracting a passionate group of food lovers and professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service and cuisine.
Superica Dunwoody, a flagship establishment of Rocket Farm Restaurants, offers a vibrant dining experience with its Old West-inspired atmosphere serving authentic Tex-Mex cuisine. Known as "where sunshine spends the winter," Superica Dunwoody is a hotspot for brunch, lunch, dinner, and refreshing margaritas, making it a beloved destination for families and friends. The restaurant is not just about food but embraces the Tex-Mex lifestyle, enhancing the culture of dining with warmth, tradition, and spirited hospitality.
The position of Sous Chef at Superica Dunwoody is a critical role responsible for managing the back-of-house operations and leading an hourly team consisting of cooks and other kitchen staff. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef plays an essential part in daily kitchen functions including food production, preparation, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. The Sous Chef is tasked with maintaining consistency in the menu offerings by ensuring all cooks are properly trained on recipes and presentation standards, thereby safeguarding the quality and flavor that define the Superica brand.
This role demands a natural leader who can inspire, motivate, and maintain cohesion among the kitchen staff while effectively managing pressure and challenges that occur during service. The ideal candidate is expected to have at least three years of progressive culinary experience, including at least one year in a leadership role such as Lead Cook or Sous Chef. This experience equips the candidate to take charge in the absence of the Executive Chef, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving.
Rocket Farm Restaurants offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 annually, based on experience, paired with a generous quarterly bonus program. Employees become eligible for full benefits after only 30 days, which includes major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. This comprehensive benefit package reflects the company’s dedication to supporting its employees’ health and well-being.
Beyond health benefits, the company fosters a supportive and ethical work culture that emphasizes professional growth with dynamic performance-based raises and promotions. Paid Time Off, special leave options such as Childbirth Recovery Leave and Parental Leave, and significant long-term retention bonuses are provided to enhance employees’ work-life balance. Additionally, time off is given on most major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, allowing team members meaningful time with their families.
Employees enjoy a 50% discount across all Rocket Farm Restaurants, encouraging them to experience and appreciate the diverse culinary offerings within the group. Professional development is encouraged through Rocket Farm University, which provides specialized leadership classes and personalized career support. Employee engagement is further promoted via mentorship programs, advisory councils, and safety committees, ensuring that individuals at every level have a voice and the resources to thrive.
Rocket Farm Restaurants is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to compliance with federal employment laws. The company encourages candidates who share its passion for hospitality, teamwork, and culinary excellence to apply and become part of a dynamic, innovative family that values individuality and heartfelt service.
