Job Description

Superica is a vibrant and innovative restaurant located in Atlanta, built on a foundation of respect, dignity, and care for every team member and guest. At the core of this establishment's philosophy is the belief that the way we treat and serve one another within the kitchen reflects how we serve our guests in the dining room. Superica fosters a culture not just about delivering outstanding meals but also about creating a supportive and ethical environment for employees. This company stands out in the hospitality industry by placing immense value on teamwork, inclusivity, and mutual respect among its staff, making it a desirable workplace for culinary professionals seeking a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

The role of Sous Chef at Superica offers a unique opportunity for culinary professionals to grow and lead within an exciting, fast-paced environment that champions consistency, quality, and creativity. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef plays a critical role in managing the back of house team, which includes hourly employees working in production, prep, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. This leadership position requires overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations while ensuring that all dishes meet Superica’s high standards for presentation and flavor.

The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of progressive culinary experience, including time spent as a Lead Cook or Sous Chef, demonstrating their ability to train and mentor staff effectively. The Sous Chef must be a natural leader, capable of maintaining a calm and composed demeanor under pressure while inspiring a united and motivated team. Beyond technical skills, the role demands proactive problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude to efficiently navigate obstacles and operational challenges, especially when stepping in for the Executive Chef. This role provides a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a generous quarterly bonus program. Moreover, full benefits eligibility commences after 30 days of employment, encompassing major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.

Working at Superica means becoming part of a dynamic and heartfelt group dedicated to culinary excellence and ethical service. Employees benefit from a supportive culture, performance-based raises, and promotions acknowledging individual and team success. The company prioritizes work-life balance, offering paid time off, childbirth recovery leave, and parental leave. Significant long-term retention bonuses reward dedication, while time off on key holidays ensures valuable personal and family moments. One of the exclusive perks includes a 50% discount at all Rocket Farm Restaurants across six cities: Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park. Furthermore, Superica invests in its people through Rocket Farm University, providing specialized leadership training and personalized career advancement support, as well as employee-led mentorship programs, advisory councils, and safety committees to foster ongoing development and collaboration.

Superica is an equal opportunity employer. Candidates joining this team will not only be advancing their culinary career in a renowned restaurant but also will be contributing to a culture that genuinely values each person who serves, reinforcing a cycle of respect and excellence throughout the hospitality experience.
