Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years of progressive culinary experience
  • At least two years experience in a Sous Chef capacity
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations and staff effectively
  • Strong budgeting and labor scheduling skills
  • Capability to lead and work under pressure
  • Commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
  • Willingness to participate in a team-oriented work culture

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive culinary experience
  • Minimum two years in a Sous Chef role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Proficient in culinary budgeting and labor management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production and prep
  • Manage private parties and special events culinary needs
  • Supervise stewarding, purchasing, and receiving departments
  • Ensure culinary staff consistently create menu items to the highest standards
  • Lead the kitchen effectively in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Manage culinary budget, labor, scheduling and overtime to maximize productivity
  • Foster a cohesive and professional kitchen team environment
