Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned restaurant group celebrated for its core philosophy: "We serve the person who is serving the guest." This ethos shapes a respectful, dignified, and caring culture that begins behind the scenes in the kitchen and extends seamlessly to dining guests. The group emphasizes a cohesive team environment, ethical treatment of employees, and consistent high-quality service. Among its notable establishments is Superica, located in the Queen City's Strawberry Hill neighborhood. Superica offers a vibrant and relaxed Old-West-inspired atmosphere, serving Tex-Mex cuisine throughout brunch, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is cherished for its exceptional menu and the city’s best margaritas, blending culinary excellence with an inviting ambiance that attracts a diverse clientele.

Superica is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Executive Sous Chef. This critical leadership position involves direct oversight of all kitchen operations including production, preparation, private parties, special events, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. The Executive Sous Chef is entrusted with ensuring culinary staff maintain the highest standards in food preparation and presentation. Additionally, this role requires managing the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence, demonstrating calm and efficient leadership under pressure. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining a disciplined kitchen environment, managing culinary budgets, labor scheduling, overtime control, and enhancing guest satisfaction through operational excellence.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of progressive culinary experience, with at least two years served as a Sous Chef. The position demands strong leadership qualities, financial acumen, and the ability to foster synergy within a dynamic culinary team. Rocket Farm Restaurants offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a generous quarterly bonus program. Employees become eligible for full benefits after 30 days, including major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.

Joining Superica and Rocket Farm Restaurants means becoming part of a dynamic, innovative, and heartfelt group of unique individuals dedicated to excellence in hospitality. Employees benefit from a supportive and ethical work culture, performance-based raises and promotions, and paid time off including childbirth recovery and parental leave to balance work and life responsibilities. Long-term retention bonuses reward commitment, and paid holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Staff also enjoy a 50 percent discount at all Rocket Farm Restaurants locations spanning Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Raleigh, and Winter Park. Rocket Farm University provides specialized leadership training and personalized career advancement support, while employee-led mentorship, advisory council, and safety committee programs foster empowerment and engagement across the team. Superica and Rocket Farm Restaurants are equal opportunity employers committed to following federal employment laws and providing a nurturing environment for career growth and culinary passion.
