Job Description

Rocket Farm Restaurants is a renowned restaurant group committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences while fostering a culture rooted in dignity, respect, and care. The company operates with the core philosophy, "We serve the person who is serving the guest," emphasizing a supportive and ethical work environment for its team members. This approach ensures that the treatment and care provided within the kitchen equally reflect the standards of hospitality extended to guests in the dining room. Rocket Farm Restaurants takes pride in nurturing a collaborative atmosphere where team members uplift one another and contribute to a shared mission of culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.

Superica, one of the vibrant establishments under Rocket Farm Restaurants, brings the warmth and energy of an Old-West inspired, Tex-Mex dining experience to the Strawberry Hill neighborhood in the Queen City. Known for its relaxed yet upbeat vibe, Superica serves an enticing selection of brunch, lunch, and dinner options, complemented by the city’s best margaritas. The restaurant is a beloved local destination that combines fun, flavor, and a strong sense of community.

The Executive Sous Chef role at Superica offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about kitchen leadership, operational excellence, and team development. This position directly oversees the day-to-day kitchen operations, including production and prep areas, private parties and special events, stewarding, purchasing, and receiving. The Executive Sous Chef ensures that all menu items meet the highest quality standards and manages the kitchen’s workflow efficiently, especially in the absence of the Executive Chef. This role demands a versatile leader with a calm demeanor who can inspire and unify the culinary team to deliver outstanding food consistently.

In addition to leadership, the Executive Sous Chef is responsible for managing the culinary budget and actively monitoring labor costs, scheduling, and overtime to maximize productivity without compromising guest satisfaction. Candidates are expected to bring a minimum of five years of progressive culinary experience, with at least two years in a Sous Chef capacity, demonstrating their capability to manage the complexities of a busy kitchen environment. Successful applicants will join a dynamic, innovative, and heartfelt group of professionals dedicated to advancing a positive and enriching workplace culture.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a generous quarterly bonus program. Full benefits eligibility is granted after 30 days of employment, including major medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Beyond standard benefits, employees enjoy a supportive culture, ethical work environment, performance-based raises and promotions, paid time off, and various family support leaves to encourage a healthy work-life balance. Long-term retention bonuses, distinguished holiday time off, generous discounts across Rocket Farm Restaurants in various cities, and access to Rocket Farm University for leadership development and career advancement mark the comprehensive value proposition for team members.

This exciting role at Superica offers culinary professionals a chance to grow their careers within a thriving and nurturing environment, contributing meaningfully to a restaurant that values quality, teamwork, and community engagement. The company, an equal opportunity employer, ensures all team members have a voice and the resources to succeed, making this an exceptional opportunity for those committed to culinary excellence and leadership.
