Job Description

Harris Health System, the public healthcare safety-net provider serving the residents of Harris County, Texas, champions better health for the community with a focus on low-income uninsured and underinsured patients through acute and primary care services. The system includes Ben Taub Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center) and Lyndon B. Job Requirements

  • Education: High School/GED Preferred or three years institutional cooking experience
  • License & Certifications: Food Handlers Certification
  • Work Experience: Two years of food preparation, high volume food preparation preferred
  • Equipment Operated: Oven, Steam Cookers, Meat Slicer, Deep Fat Fryer, and Grill
  • Communication skills: Writing/Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
  • Other Skills: Math
  • Work Schedule: Weekends, Flexible
