The company is currently seeking a Summer Dock Attendant for one of its premier marina communities in Southern California. This role primarily revolves around delivering outstanding customer service to boaters and guests while maintaining the marina’s appearance and operational efficiency. The Dock Attendant will be an integral part of the team, assisting with docking procedures, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting tenant retention by providing a top-quality boating experience. Job Requirements
- 1-year prior office administration experience
- 1-year prior dock operations/boating experience
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to frequently walk and stand and occasionally stoop, kneel or crawl
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Knowledge of actions to take in the case of an emergency such as fire, sinking, storms
- Ability to communicate with others including the public in a friendly, courteous manner
- Ability to perform wood and mechanical repair work preferred
- 2 years customer service experience
- Ability to follow commands in English
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist Tech II and Tech III in general dock maintenance and operations
- Hose off walkways and gangways to keep clean of sea lion/seal waste
- Coil water hoses and dock lines
- Remove sea lions/seals from docks as required
- Collect trash from marina water
- Assist boaters in and out of slips by catching and tying lines to cleats
- Ensure safe boat operations
- Know correct use of safety ladders and emergency procedures
- Help customers load and unload equipment between cars and boats
- Locate and distribute dock carts to specific locations
- Work with courtesy patrol to address out-of-control or noisy boat/dock parties
- Be available by radio and dock phone to take calls for ice delivery
- Track ice deliveries to charge boater accounts
- Operate as crew to assist marina trash cleanup
- Perform oil/gas spill prevention and cleanup
- Act as first point-of-contact to persons walking into the marina office
- Answer questions efficiently and involve manager when necessary
- Handle office telephone customer service needs and inquiries
- Direct calls or take messages as necessary
- Perform office duties as required
