Job Requirements

  • ability to work independently and execute tasks via written and direct instruction
  • ability to effectively work with a wide variety of audiences, including but not limited to students, staff, faculty, administration, guests of the college, and other patrons
  • must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, follow directions, take initiative, and be flexible with work schedules
  • attention to detail with good organizational skills
  • experience working in fast-paced and busy environments
  • willingness to ask questions and learn
  • must be able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends
  • must be dependable and able to meet schedules and deadlines
  • ability to use problem solving skills
  • experience with providing exceptional customer service

Job Qualifications

  • any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • previous experience in event or conference planning is preferred

Job Duties

  • provide assistance for all aspects of conferences and events as assigned
  • responsible for opening and closing event spaces
  • assist events department with delivering an exceptional guest experience
  • coordinate registration and set-up and takedown of the event site
  • interface with each client in a professional and competent manner
  • perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as assigned
  • active support for the college’s principles of community and institutional values in the performance of job duties
