The Food Service Supervisor role at Aramark offers an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to advance their careers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This full-time position involves leadership and operational responsibilities within Aramark's Food Services Team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work closely with a manager to coordinate daily activities, oversee staff, and ensure all food production and service meet Aramark's high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities will include producing and maintaining work schedules, managing inventory, maintaining sanitary conditions, and training or mentoring food service workers. The role requires hands-on leadership, including stepping in to fill vacancies when necessary, supervising food safety and temperature logs, and ensuring adherence to health and safety codes.

In this role, you will also support catering events, participate in meetings, and keep clear communication channels open with office staff. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior food service experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time hours including nights and weekends
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • must follow health and safety regulations
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • basic computer skills
  • valid food handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to manage inventory and production schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course before or during first year
  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes)
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production that ensures safety and quality of food
  • ensure food items are stored safely and hazard-free
  • maintain serving schedules and serve food per menu specifications
  • maintain sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory
  • prepare orders as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel, promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain logs on maintenance required on equipment
  • ensure food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend replacement of equipment
  • proficiency in multi-tasking
  • perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • maintain knowledge of catering events and confirm preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
