Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a prominent hospitality company known for delivering exceptional food and beverage services across a variety of venues including sports arenas, national parks, casinos, and entertainment destinations. As a family-owned company with over 100 years of history, Delaware North combines a rich legacy with innovative approaches to hospitality, ensuring memorable experiences for guests while fostering growth and career opportunities for its employees. The company is deeply dedicated to its team members’ well-being, offering comprehensive training, development programs, and a supportive working environment that encourages professional advancement.
This particular position is for a seasonal Suites Runner at Nu Stadium in Miami, Florida, an upcoming state-of-the-art soccer stadium set to open in 2026 as the future home of Inter Miami CF. Nu Stadium aims to be a premier entertainment destination in South Florida, hosting world-class soccer matches, concerts, and live events year-round. Delaware North will spearhead the stadium’s concessions and premium food and beverage operations, blending innovative culinary experiences with the vibrant culture of Miami alongside classic stadium favorites. The Suites Runner role is critical within this dynamic environment, ensuring swift and efficient food service directly from the kitchen to guests within the luxury suites, significantly enhancing their event-day experience.
As a Suites Runner, candidates can expect an exciting seasonal role emphasizing teamwork, communication, and hospitality excellence. The position is a tipped role, with an hourly base pay of $17.00, exclusive of gratuities. This role offers invaluable learning opportunities through on-the-job training and mentorship programs, providing a gateway for career growth within the hospitality industry. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy interacting with guests will find this position particularly rewarding.
The Suites Runner is responsible for the timely delivery of food orders, requiring collaboration with chefs, kitchen staff, and servers to ensure the seamless presentation and service of courses. The role also includes performing table-side services, answering menu-related questions, and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and presentation standards. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and organization within both kitchen and suite areas falls under the responsibilities of the Suites Runner.
This role demands physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, as well as the ability to maneuver efficiently in tight spaces. Working flexible hours is essential as the position covers shifts during evenings, weekends, holidays, and events — reflecting the nature of the sports and entertainment industry. Importantly, candidates do not require a high school diploma or GED, though prior experience as a runner or busser in a similar dining environment is preferred. The position favors those who are at least 18 years old and value reliability and customer service excellence.
Delaware North strives to create a positive workplace culture reinforced by equitable hiring practices and a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both personal and professional well-being. Alongside competitive weekly pay and employee discounts, team members gain access to health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and employee assistance programs.
Joining Delaware North as a Suites Runner at Nu Stadium means becoming part of a globally respected hospitality legacy with excellent prospects for advancement. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, working with people, and delivering memorable guest experiences, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an exciting new venue while building your hospitality career.
