Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a well-established company renowned for its exceptional hospitality services within sports venues and entertainment locations. As part of the Delaware North family, the company boasts over 100 years of history and operates globally, offering diverse career opportunities across multiple sectors such as gaming, retail, restaurants, hotels, and sports. Delaware North places significant emphasis on both personal and professional well-being of its employees, fostering a positive environment where team members can thrive and grow. The company’s dedication to delivering outstanding guest experiences is reflected in its commitment to training, development, and offering comprehensive benefits to employees.
Currently, Delaware North Sportservice is seeking seasonal Suite Servers to join their team at Route 66 Stadium in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves serving guests in assigned suites within the stadium, providing an elevated dining and entertainment experience. Being a Suite Server means not only delivering quality service but also representing the company’s values as the face of the restaurant. This position is pivotal in enhancing guest satisfaction and ensuring the highest level of hospitality throughout sporting events and other stadium functions.
The employment type for this position is seasonal and it is important to note that this is a tipped position, with an hourly wage of $10.35 not including potential additional earnings from tips. Suite Servers will interact directly with guests, responsible for greeting them warmly, attending to their specific needs, and serving food and beverages, including alcohol, responsibly and in compliance with company policies. The role requires coordination with other stadium staff such as runners, cooks, and bartenders to ensure timely and seamless delivery of orders.
In addition to customer service, Suite Servers are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization within their work areas by performing opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties. These responsibilities ensure that all equipment and workspaces remain sanitized and fully functional, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. Flexibility in working hours is required, with shifts primarily in the evenings, weekends, and during events.
Delaware North values the skills and experience of their staff, seeking individuals who have proficiency in cash handling and credit card processing, as well as experience in fine dining settings. Although no high school diploma or GED is required for this role, prior serving experience of at least one year is preferred to ensure familiarity with customer service standards and restaurant operations. The physical demands of the role include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and engage in prolonged standing, walking, bending, and navigating stairs while maintaining attentiveness to guests’ requests.
The company’s inclusive employment practices demonstrate commitment to equal opportunity, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, age, disability, or any other protected status. This diverse and supportive environment encourages employees to pursue their career ambitions with a trusted leader in the hospitality industry.
Delaware North offers competitive advantages beyond pay, including weekly pay schedules, employee discounts, flexible work hours, and extensive training programs aimed at fostering growth and excellence. Eligible team members also have access to health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, and tuition reimbursement, ensuring employees are supported both inside and outside the workplace. This commitment to employee welfare underscores Delaware North’s mission to deliver exceptional experiences not only to guests but also to their workforce.
