The role of Suite Attendant at OVG is vital within the hospitality and guest services realm of the company. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred
  • Minimum one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
  • Possession of valid food handling certificate
  • Possession of alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders
  • Reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a respectful and professional manner
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possession of a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by law
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred or equivalent experience may be substituted
  • Minimum one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
  • Experience in fine or large-scale dining preferred

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders when setting up guest events and serving
  • Serving meals to guests or replenishing food to the buffet line
  • Serving beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages while verifying guest's ID
  • Recording a client’s order and relaying the order to the kitchen
  • Observing guests to respond to additional requests and determine when the meal is complete
  • Performing side work such as refilling condiments and napkins
  • Setting up banquet functions including table décor, linens, dishware, glassware and silverware
  • Maintaining sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Show ability to meet company standards for excellent attendance
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management for event success
