The role of Suite Server at Save Mart Center is a part-time, hourly position offering a starting wage of $16.90 per hour plus tips. This role falls under the Food and Beverage department and reports directly to the Suite and Catering Manager. The primary responsibility of the Suite Server is to provide high-quality customer service during events, ensuring guests in suites receive exceptional hospitality and a memorable experience. Suite Servers are responsible for setting up suites for events, greeting and servicing guests with the highest level of customer care, and enforcing all applicable liquor laws and ASM Global regulations. The role requires accurate accounting and verification of all food and beverage inventory to maintain proper stock levels and meet customer demands. Additionally, Suite Servers must uphold strict sanitation standards and follow safety practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Beyond guest service, this position involves preparing guest orders accurately and promptly, handling cash and credit card transactions with precision, and verifying identification for every guest purchasing alcohol to comply with legal requirements. Suite Servers must be capable of working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting to the dynamic nature of live events. This job demands physical stamina, as it involves standing, walking, carrying, and lifting up to 30 pounds regularly.
Ideal candidates for this role possess a positive and service-oriented attitude, strong knowledge of sanitary practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills in English are required to interact with customers, supervisors, and colleagues seamlessly. The ability to multitask, attention to detail, and a pleasant personality are critical factors for success in this position. Additionally, knowledge of menu items and suite packages, along with skills in upselling, will contribute to enhanced guest experiences and increased sales.
