We are currently looking for a dedicated Taproom Manager to lead day-to-day operations in our bustling taproom in Suffolk, VA. This full-time leadership role demands a proactive, hands-on individual with a passion for hospitality excellence and a deep understanding of brewery operations. The Taproom Manager will oversee daily service, motivate and develop a team of front-of-house staff, and collaborate closely with brewing and kitchen teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role also includes inventory management, scheduling, and marketing responsibilities, making it dynamic and multifaceted. With evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts occasionally required, the ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging environment for all visitors. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience managing in a high volume restaurant and brewery environment
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
- Experience with inventory management and scheduling
- Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Taproom Manager or similar role in a high volume restaurant and brewery setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Familiarity with Canva for creating marketing and promotional materials
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for administrative and reporting tasks
- Bartending and/or serving experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Oversee daily taproom operations ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead, train, and motivate taproom staff to maintain high standards of customer service
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control for the taproom
- Coordinate with brewing and kitchen teams to ensure product availability and quality
- Handle scheduling for the FOH taproom staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees
- Utilize software tools to create marketing materials and manage documentation
