The available position is for a Mini-Bar Attendant responsible for refilling all mini-bars within the hotel to maintain service standards and product availability for guests. This role involves multiple operational tasks that contribute to the overall guest experience by ensuring that mini-bars are well stocked, clean, and accurately inventoried. The attendant will regularly check mini-bars for missing items, rotate products to maintain freshness, and ensure labels are correctly displayed for guest convenience. They will also handle the recording of daily activity reports, such as noting rooms where service is declined or where guests have requested privacy. Key duties include managing inventories taken from the mini-bar storeroom, preparing products for daily refills, and reporting any issues encountered.

In addition to controlling and preparing mini-bar supplies, the Mini-Bar Attendant is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the mini-bars themselves. Tasks include wiping down mini-bars, replenishing clean glasses on floor landings, and ensuring that VIP rooms receive special attention by checking mini-bars against the VIP list provided by the cashier on duty. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with good organizational skills and the ability to maintain standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months of experience in the hospitality industry, possess fluency in English, and preferably have a high school diploma. Additional language skills, such as French, and prior guest relations experience are advantageous. This role requires leadership qualities, teamwork skills, and creativity to approach challenges effectively and contribute positively to the guest experience.

Job Duties

  • Checks all bars for missing items, rotates products, and ensures that all labels are facing out for easy reading
  • ensures a proper count of items taken from, and returned to mini-bar storeroom
  • picks up refill list and prepares all items needed for the day's refill
  • ensures adequate supplies for refill
  • takes physical inventories of mini-bars by request
  • records all DND rooms and refused service rooms on a daily activity sheet
  • reports any mini-bar problems encountered
  • refills all bars as listed on computer printout
  • replenishes clean mini-bar glasses on floor landings as necessary
  • wipes down mini bars to ensure cleanliness
  • picks up VIP list from R/S cashier on duty and checks all mini bars in designated VIP rooms
