The Subie Shack Cashier position, located on the plaza deck at the Snowbird Center, is a part-time and seasonal role designed for individuals who enjoy engaging with guests and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient order processing, accurate handling of payments, and delivering excellent customer service that aligns with Snowbird’s commitment to guest satisfaction. As a Cashier and Counter Server, the employee will not only take and relay customer orders but also communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to maintain the flow of operations. The role demands competency in basic arithmetic for managing transactions, as well as multitasking skills to handle several guests and multiple orders simultaneously.

Employees in this position will have responsibilities ranging from greeting customers, using suggestive selling techniques to boost sales, managing inventory levels, assisting with food preparation and presentation, to adhering strictly to state regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. The ability to maintain positive interactions with guests and staff, handle food safely, and stay organized under pressure are key components of this job. Working conditions can be challenging with the need to stand for long periods and adapt to weather-related stressors in a mountain environment.
