The Subcontracts Manager 2 role is based in Aurora, CO, requiring on-site presence as full-time remote work is not available. This position involves leading a team of approximately 13 Subcontract Administrators and managing subcontract activities vital to meeting program cost and schedule objectives. The manager will negotiate subcontractor prices, schedules, payments, and contractual terms to secure advantageous business deals while managing performance risks. This role demands strategic thinking to identify cost reduction opportunities, efficiency improvements, and risk management approaches in collaboration with the supply base and internal teams. The Subcontracts Manager serves as a subject matter expert for subcontract negotiations, compliance to regulations like FAR and DFARS, and implements contract terms effectively, including data rights management. Additionally, this role supports proposal preparations by influencing rapid subcontract quotations and guides Subcontract Specialists through all contract phases. The position involves coordinating closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to address complex risks and develop mitigation strategies.
