The position of Sub Food Service Delivery/District Courier Driver reports directly to the Director of Operations and operates on an on-call basis to maintain a continuous flow of food and equipment deliveries daily. This role requires an individual who is dedicated, reliable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities, including loading, delivering, and retrieving food supplies, equipment, furniture, textbooks, interoffice mail, and other necessary items. The driver is responsible not only for transportation duties but also for maintaining the vehicle’s condition, upholding safety standards, and demonstrating professionalism in interactions with school staff, students, and community members.

The Sub Food Service Delivery/District Courier Driver supports the schools by delivering breakfast and lunch items and managing the pickup and return of trays, pans, gate cash, and deposits. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to follow traffic laws, comply with health and safety regulations, and maintain confidentiality regarding school programs.

Job Duties

  • Pick up the food truck at a designated or assigned location
  • help in unloading/loading food supplies to schools
  • load and deliver breakfast and lunch items to schools
  • pick up and deliver trays and pans back to designated locations
  • process recycling
  • keep assigned vehicle fueled, clean and properly equipped
  • deliver other items to schools as directed
  • obey all traffic laws
  • report accidents and complete required reports
  • maintain health and safety standards
  • dress appropriately for job and weather
