Job Requirements
- Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state or provincial regulations
- ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- ability to provide exceptional guest service understanding guest's needs
- ability to perform administrative tasks such as completing transactions on computerized register and light housekeeping duties
- physical ability to stand for sustained periods
- ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally
- continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists and arms
- continuous grasping and reaching often above shoulder level
- ability to be exposed to various chemicals and fragrances used in performing services
- ability to observe guest's hair including close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
- ability to communicate with guests regarding services offered and requested
Job Qualifications
- Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state or provincial regulations
- experience in providing haircuts and hairstyling services preferred but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to perform administrative tasks related to service completion
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional guest service understanding guest's needs
- perform quality consultations and requested hair services efficiently and professionally
- complete transactions using computerized register
- perform close-out procedures
- maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping duties
- participate in ongoing training and recertification
- stay updated with current hair trends and techniques
