The Student Worker - Barista is responsible for operating the cash register and point of sale system to accurately process customer transactions including cash and credit payments. Following established recipes and brand standards, this individual prepares a variety of coffees, teas, and specialty beverages as well as food items to meet Aramark’s quality and consistency expectations. Maintaining inventory by stocking beverage coolers and grab-and-go items as well as ensuring service ware and condiments are readily available are important aspects of the job.

Attention to cleanliness is a key responsibility, involving the setup and breakdown of the coffee bar and workstations, along with regular cleaning and sanitizing to comply with health and safety standards. The barista must adhere to food safety policies, maintain sanitary work environments, and adhere to company cash handling procedures. This role may require physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, as well as extended periods of walking and standing. The ability to follow standardized dress codes and wear personal protective equipment when necessary is mandatory.
