This Barista position at UVU Starbucks is an exciting opportunity for current UVU students to gain valuable work experience while continuing their education. Reporting directly to the Manager of Starbucks, the Barista will play a key role in representing both UVU's bookstore and Starbucks Corporation, ensuring that every beverage prepared meets the trademark quality and taste associated with Starbucks. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, particularly in following Starbucks recipes and customer preferences, making every drink consistent and enjoyable. The position requires handling various payment methods accurately, including cash, credit cards, and phone payments, thereby enhancing transaction efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In addition to beverage preparation and sales, the Barista will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards through proper product handling including date tagging, rotating stock, and cleaning their workspace thoroughly. This ensures a hygienic environment and compliance with health regulations. The job also involves customer engagement through friendly and effective communication, offering other products such as bottled drinks, sandwiches, and snacks to complement the customer’s experience.
