The role of Barista at UVU Starbucks is a dynamic, customer-facing position that involves crafting beverages according to Starbucks recipes and individual customer requests. Job Requirements

Must be a current UVU student
Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent
Valid Food Handler's permit
Ability to work at least four consecutive hours

Skills in making Starbucks beverages
Ability to lift merchandise repeatedly

Ability to communicate effectively with the public
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Job Duties

Serve as a representative of both the UVU Bookstore and Starbucks Corporation by providing excellent customer service
Prepare beverages according to Starbucks standards and customer specifications
Process cash, credit card, and phone payments accurately and provide correct change
Follow strict guidelines for product date tagging, rotation, and cleanliness of the work area
Display and sell bottled beverages, sandwiches, and snacks
Restock inventory and maintain cleanliness in the work area
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
