Job Description

Mount Mercy University is currently seeking a Student Engagement & Event Services (SEES) Coordinator to take a leadership role in managing the university’s event services operations and enriching the student experience. The SEES Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Student Engagement and will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of a wide array of campus events and programs. The role demands a highly organized individual with strong judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include managing the scheduling and use of campus event spaces, supervising and training student employees, acting as the main point of contact for both internal and external event clients, and coordinating logistics with various campus departments such as Public Safety, Facilities, IT, Catering, Communications, and Marketing.

Additionally, the SEES Coordinator will handle event contracts, pricing decisions, and vendor relationships, while also leading the use of the Events Management System (EMS) and associated reporting tools. The role supports budgeting, revenue tracking, and resource planning efforts and ensures compliance with university policies including FERPA privacy regulations. Candidates interested in this role should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have preferred experience of two or more years in higher education, event services, or student engagement.
