This opportunity is designed specifically for current UVU students who wish to gain hands-on experience in food service and kitchen operations while earning an hourly wage ranging from $11.61 to $21.12, depending on experience and qualifications. As a student employee, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily food preparation and service operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation such as cutting fruits and vegetables, making sandwiches, salads, and other cold food items, stocking products, cooking, and collaborating with chefs to ensure food items are prepared correctly and served on time. In addition, you will perform cleaning duties including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning floors, and maintaining kitchen equipment to ensure a clean and safe food service environment. This role is essential in maintaining quality and efficiency within UVU's dining services, contributing to positive dining experiences for students, faculty, and staff. \n\nThe work schedule is quite flexible but expects availability mainly Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, including day and evening shifts beginning at 7:00 am. This position requires strong teamwork skills, the ability to work independently without constant supervision, and courteous customer service, all of which are key for a smooth-running dining operation.
