The company offers a rich blend of music, news, and community engagement through its diverse stations and digital platforms. With a growing digital marketing arm named Connrex Digital, Connoisseur Media is committed to helping brands flourish through intelligent strategies, compelling storytelling, and expert public relations. At the heart of the company is a dedicated team passionate about connecting with local communities and making a meaningful difference. The firm prides itself on its community-minded culture, nurturing employees who thrive on involvement and outreach, fostering both personal and professional growth. Benefits supporting employee well-being include an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a 401(k)-retirement plan, sick leave for states with mandates, and paid time off dedicated to volunteering and community service.
The role offered is a part-time Street Team position based in Vacaville for the station KUIC-FM, also known as "Your Hometown Station 95.3." This exciting opportunity is ideal for energetic and outgoing individuals who enjoy the dynamic environments of concerts, live broadcasts, community events, and more. As a Street Team member, you will represent KUIC-FM by interacting directly with listeners, setting up visually appealing displays, running interactive games and giveaways, and infusing an energetic and fun atmosphere into every event. This role places you at the forefront of community engagement and marketing efforts, acting as the face of the station and strengthening listener relations in an engaging, fast-paced environment.
Street Team members are integral to setting up events by raising tents, plugging in sound systems, and displaying signage and banners to capture attention. While events are underway, the team manages activities by interacting with the crowd, leading fun games, prize wheels, and using public announcement systems to energize attendees. Communication skills are essential as the role requires liaising with listeners, employees, event management, and clients. This position not only demands reliability and a friendly disposition but also a positive, can-do attitude essential for handling quick setups and teardowns. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and be comfortable engaging the public.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a preference for those aged 21 or older due to alcohol-related event policies. A valid driver's license and current auto insurance are mandatory, as is the physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Flexibility is crucial as this part-time role involves working during evenings, weekends, and holidays. A background or interest in radio or media is highly advantageous, though not required, and previous experience in similar roles will be considered a strong asset.
The hourly pay for this role starts at $18 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation for its Street Team members. Connoisseur Media values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, national origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, or any other protected characteristic. The company also provides accommodations during the application process to ensure accessibility for all candidates. This is a fabulous chance to join a vibrant media company that values creativity, community involvement, and employee growth, while gaining hands-on experience in the exciting world of live events and broadcasting.
