The role of a US Foods Driver is crucial to maintaining the company’s reputation and operational excellence. This is a full-time position, offering a Monday through Friday schedule with early morning start times between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM, allowing drivers to be home daily. The hourly pay for straight truck drivers starts at $25.00, with compensation influenced by experience, education, skills, and location, typically ranging from $21.85 to $26.85 per hour. Additional pay opportunities include overtime, retention bonuses, and performance-based components related to mileage, stops, and cases delivered.
Drivers at US Foods are expected to operate trucks safely, efficiently unloading products using equipment such as two-wheelers and pallet jacks, and verifying the accuracy of deliveries with customer signatures. The role requires physical stamina, including lifting and carrying loads between 20 to 80 pounds repetitively, and working in various weather conditions with frequent stops throughout the shift. Drivers must adhere to all pre-trip and post-trip inspection procedures to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Job Requirements
- Must have valid CDL Class B issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
