The Stores Manager position within the Water Department Pipeline Division plays a critical role in supporting the city's essential water infrastructure. Located at 2409 E. 18th St., this role offers a wage range of $20.88 to $31.32 per hour and involves working weekends from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Under the leadership opportunity this position provides, the Stores Manager will oversee stock operations, ensuring that pipeline crews have timely access to the materials and tools they need to maintain smooth and safe water service. With responsibilities ranging from supervising staff to maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating delivery inspections, this role directly impacts pipeline operational efficiency and service reliability.

In this role, the successful candidate will act as a pivotal link between procurement and field operations, estimating stock needs, recommending inventory adjustments, and refining inventory procedures. The Stores Manager will lead stock staff by planning daily workloads, monitoring performance, and fostering a productive work environment. Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in requisition, receipt, storage, control, and issuance of a broad scope of materials, tools, parts, fuels, or stock items. Two of these years should be at a Stock Clerk level or equivalent.
