Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company, the world-renowned coffeehouse chain, has been crafting the finest coffee and creating meaningful connections for millions globally. Founded with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks places profound importance on creating a warm and welcoming space where every customer experience is more than just about coffee – it is about connection, community, and shared moments of joy. Known for its high-quality coffee offerings and commitment to corporate social responsibility, Starbucks has grown from a single store in Seattle to a global icon in the food and beverage industry. As a company, Starbucks values not only its products but also the people who make the coffeehouse experience exceptional – its partners (employees). This inclusive, mission-driven environment fosters personal growth and community involvement at every level of employment.

The role of a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks is a unique blend of leadership, operational excellence, and customer engagement. This position goes beyond business management; it involves leading a passionate team dedicated to crafting each cup with care while ensuring the coffeehouse remains a beloved community hub. Coffeehouse leaders are responsible for fostering an atmosphere where employees feel empowered and motivated to provide world-class service, building customer relationships that last beyond the transaction. The leader’s day includes inspiring the team through hands-on coaching, maintaining operational standards, and driving sales initiatives that align with Starbucks’ high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Starbucks invests heavily in the development of their partners, offering industry-leading benefits and opportunities for career advancement. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment, especially those with a background in customer service or management, or experience gained from the military. Successful coffeehouse leaders bring strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, and demonstrate professional maturity in coaching and mentoring team members.

This position is full-time and typically demands working beyond standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the company’s commitment to meeting customer needs whenever they arise. Starbucks provides a competitive salary that takes into account job-related knowledge, experience, and location, with an emphasis on equitable pay decisions.

As a Starbucks partner, not only will you contribute to creating a welcoming space that customers cherish, but you will also enjoy comprehensive benefits that support you and your family’s well-being. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, paid parental leave, various paid time off options, retirement savings plans, stock programs, and educational opportunities. Starbucks also provides additional financial wellness tools, family support programs, and compliance with state-specific leave laws.

Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a culturally rich, diverse, and inclusive organization that values every partner's contribution and promotes a healthy work-life balance. It’s a role that offers more than just employment — it offers the chance to connect deeply with your community while growing personally and professionally in the process. If you have the qualifications and passion for leading a team to deliver exceptional service and quality, Starbucks invites you to apply and become part of something bigger.
