Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for its customers. Founded in 1971, Starbucks has grown from a small coffee shop in Seattle to a leading international brand with thousands of stores worldwide. The company is committed to delivering premium coffee experiences while fostering a warm and welcoming environment for its customers and partners (employees). Starbucks emphasizes the importance of connection, community, and quality in every aspect of its business, from sourcing ethically grown coffee beans to providing exceptional customer service in its stores.
As a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks, you are not simply managing a store but leading a team dedicated to creating moments of connection and joy through every cup served. This leadership role requires a blend of operational expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for cultivating a positive team environment. Your role is instrumental in ensuring that both partners and customers feel valued and welcomed within the coffeehouse space. This position offers an opportunity for career growth supported by developmental experiences and access to industry-leading benefits.
In this position, you will oversee daily store operations, lead and mentor your team, ensure quality standards are met, and drive sales in an entrepreneurial, customer-focused atmosphere. Starbucks values leaders who possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and professional maturity to coach and develop a diverse team. The company prioritizes providing an inclusive work environment that supports partners’ well-being and professional growth.
Starbucks provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports partners and their families, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, and paid time off including vacation, sick days, holidays, and personal days. The coffeehouse leader is expected to work full-time hours that may exceed 40 hours per week and include variable shifts such as early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Employment eligibility and legal documentation verifying identity and authorization to work are required.
Starbucks also invests heavily in partner education and advancement, offering 100% upfront tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan in partnership with Arizona State University. Additional educational resources, student loan management, and financial well-being programs are part of the comprehensive support system for partners.
As a Starbucks coffeehouse leader, you will be joining a dynamic company that fosters inclusive growth, offers competitive compensation based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location, and is committed to equal employment opportunity without discrimination. Starbucks encourages qualified individuals with military experience, retail management backgrounds, and a passion for leadership and customer service to apply and be part of a mission-driven team focused on craft, connection, and quality.
