Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffee industry, renowned for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for customers. Founded in Seattle, Washington, Starbucks has grown into a prominent coffeehouse chain with thousands of stores worldwide, celebrated for its dedication to quality, sustainability, and community connection. Starbucks is not just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it is an experience that fosters a warm and welcoming environment where every interaction sparks connection and joy. The company’s mission centers around inspiring and nurturing the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.
This particular role invites individuals to join Starbucks as a coffeehouse leader, where the emphasis extends beyond managing a business to leading a vibrant team that prioritizes community engagement and customer experience. The role offers an opportunity for personal and professional growth, supported by comprehensive developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits. Coffeehouse leaders at Starbucks are instrumental in creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, where customers and partners alike feel valued and connected.
The position requires a strong leader who embodies an entrepreneurial mentality with a focus on sales and customer service excellence. Candidates are expected to bring a blend of leadership skills, problem-solving capabilities, and organizational expertise to coach and mentor their teams effectively. This role is full-time and embraces the dynamic rhythms of coffeehouse operations, including varied hours such as early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer and business needs.
Starbucks values individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, notably those with retail or customer service management experience, or military service. The company champions an inclusive work environment that supports employee growth through benefits such as medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation from the date of hire, sick time, and other voluntary insurance options. Additionally, Starbucks provides access to a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, equity programs, and educational opportunities, including 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program.
This role not only promises competitive compensation based on multiple factors such as experience, geographical location, and skills but also a platform for meaningful impact by contributing to a company that values quality, community, and individual growth. Starbucks Coffee Company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. Prospective candidates who are passionate about leadership, fostering connections, and delivering exceptional coffeehouse experiences are encouraged to apply and be part of something bigger at Starbucks.
