Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for its customers. Established over four decades ago, Starbucks has grown into a leader in the specialty coffee industry, with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit—one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time. Starbucks is not just a place to grab your daily coffee fix; it is a vibrant community hub, welcoming customers to enjoy premium quality beverages and food items made with care and precision. With its commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and community engagement, Starbucks stands out as an employer that values both its people and the planet.
The role of a Coffeehouse Leader at Starbucks goes beyond traditional management responsibilities. As a leader in a bustling retail environment, you are responsible for shaping the experience that customers and partners (employees) have every day. This position is a vital part of ensuring that every cup served is a symbol of connection and joy within the community. You will lead a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining operational excellence, and fostering an inclusive, positive workplace culture. Your leadership helps create a coffeehouse where community members feel at home, and team members are supported in their growth and success.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Starbucks invests significantly in your professional and personal development, offering extensive training and coaching opportunities designed to empower you as a leader. You will cultivate your coaching and mentoring abilities through managing a team of baristas and shift supervisors, helping them achieve their full potential while achieving business goals. The Coffeehouse Leader role also demands strong organizational and problem-solving skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a spirit of hospitality, all critical factors that translate into an optimum customer experience and operational efficiency.
Starbucks provides industry-leading benefits to its partners and their families, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with life insurance and supplemental policies. Paid parental leave, vacation from the first day of hire, sick time, eight paid holidays, plus two personal days per year make this an attractive employment package. Additionally, Starbucks supports partner well-being through disability insurance, retirement savings plans with employer matching, and stock purchase programs. Education is highly valued with opportunities like 100% tuition coverage towards a bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program. Starbucks is dedicated to creating an equitable workplace ensuring all partners feel respected and included regardless of background. By joining Starbucks as a Coffeehouse Leader, you are stepping into a role where you will make a positive impact on both people and the community while advancing your career with a globally respected company.
