Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for its customers. Founded on the principle of fostering connection and community, Starbucks has become a staple destination for coffee lovers across the world. The company prides itself on delivering not just exceptional coffee, but also a warm and welcoming environment where customers feel valued and connected with each visit. Starbucks is committed to social responsibility, sustainability, and the growth and well-being of its partners (employees). The company invests heavily in its workforce, offering developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits to empower each partner's growth journey.

As a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks, you play a critical role beyond managing daily operations. You lead and mentor a team dedicated to crafting memorable customer experiences through passion, craftsmanship, and genuine hospitality. The coffeehouse leader creates an environment where team members can thrive, develop professional skills, and bring their best selves to work every day. This leadership role involves nurturing a culture of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration, ensuring that each customer encounter is a moment of connection and joy.

The position requires a leader with strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, paired with an entrepreneurial mentality and experience within a sales-driven environment. Leaders inspire their teams with professionalism, maturity, and a coaching mindset, guiding each partner to success and engagement. This role also demands the flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the dynamic nature of the coffeehouse business.

Starbucks values education and experience, seeking candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of retail or customer service management experience, or alternatively, four or more years of US military service. Leaders at Starbucks bring a blend of operational expertise, passion for customer service, and the ability to foster a positive team culture.

Starbucks offers competitive compensation tailored to the local job market, experience, and internal equity. Partners benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, along with life and supplemental insurance options. Additional benefits include paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation and sick time accrual, holiday pay, a robust 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, discounted company stock programs, and access to financial well-being tools. Starbucks also supports educational advancement with 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program and offers student loan management resources.

By joining Starbucks as a coffeehouse leader, you become part of a company that is not only passionate about coffee but equally committed to its partners' growth, health, and happiness. This role invites you to build lasting relationships, make meaningful impacts within your community, and connect with something bigger every single day.
