This is a full-time, salaried position with an attractive pay range of $74,420 to $93,025 annually. As a Store Manager at Burlington, you will take on a leadership role responsible for the successful management of all store operations with a focus on maximizing sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role requires a dynamic leader who is capable of managing a multi-million-dollar store operation. You will mentor, coach, and lead your team by example, promoting a culture grounded in excellence, professionalism, and exceptional customer service. The Store Manager works collaboratively with assistant managers and store associates to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and payroll management.
Your leadership will extend to recruitment, training, and development of the staff, ensuring each team member receives adequate support and guidance to excel in their roles. You will also be responsible for workforce management and scheduling, adhering to budgetary constraints while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
The role includes being the Manager on Duty, setting high standards for operational excellence, and fostering strong communication between the store team and district and regional management. This position requires a hands-on approach, engaging actively with all facets of the store's functions to drive overall success.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of retail management experience in a big box or specialty environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs
- Experience using scheduling and reporting software
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of retail management experience in a big box or specialty environment
- Proven leadership, communication and organization skills
- Experience in managing multi-million-dollar store operations
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Proficient in using scheduling and reporting computer software
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Direct management and oversight of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure implementation of company policies
- Ensure Assistant Managers and store team members fulfill their responsibilities
- Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Merchandising to coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions and pricing
- Partner with Assistant Store Manager, Operations to review inventory processes including receiving, transfers, debits/damages, returns-to-vendor, and chargeback paperwork
- Act as Manager on Duty, leading by example and following Burlington SOPs
- Manage multi-million-dollar sales volume and expense budget, including reporting and record-keeping
- Recruit, screen and hire associates to meet store staffing needs
- Facilitate onboarding and training for new associates and provide ongoing coaching
- Handle personnel and associate relations issues
- Manage payroll budget, workforce management, and scheduling
- Facilitate communication and partnerships among store team and company management
