Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for its commitment to crafting the world’s finest coffee while fostering meaningful connections within the community. Established as a leader in the specialty coffee industry, Starbucks has created a warm and welcoming environment where every cup of coffee is more than just a drink — it is an experience that sparks connection and joy. This company values quality, sustainability, and customer engagement, and is dedicated to enhancing the lives of its customers and partners alike.
As a coffeehouse leader at Starbucks, you play a pivotal role not just in managing business operations, but in leading a passionate team dedicated to creating memorable moments for every customer. This leadership role demands a blend of strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal capabilities, and a genuine passion for customer service. The position is designed for individuals who have experience in retail or customer service management, and who possess an entrepreneurial mindset suited to a sales-focused environment. Military veterans with over four years of U.S. service are also highly encouraged to apply, reflecting Starbucks’ appreciation for diverse leadership backgrounds.
The coffeehouse leader is responsible for developing and mentoring the team to uphold the company’s high standards of performance, professionalism, and customer experience. You will be coaching and guiding team partners with maturity and a professional approach, fostering an atmosphere that supports growth, collaboration, and innovation. Alongside managing day-to-day operational objectives, you are also involved in building lasting relationships within the community, ensuring the coffeehouse remains a hub where customers feel genuinely welcome.
Starbucks prioritizes partner development by offering industry-leading benefits and opportunities for growth. As part of this role, you will have access to extensive training programs and developmental experiences designed to help you advance your career within one of the world’s most respected brands. The company offers competitive compensation tailored to an individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.
In addition to competitive pay, Starbucks supports its partners by providing comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, paid parental leave, and a generous vacation and holiday schedule. The company also offers unique educational benefits, such as 100% tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. This reflects Starbucks’ ongoing commitment to partner wellbeing and continuous learning.
Working at Starbucks means embracing a culture of inclusivity and equal opportunity. The company does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status among other protected statuses. There is an emphasis on accommodating employees with disabilities to ensure a supportive and accessible work environment for all.
If you are ready to lead with heart, craft, and a dedication to creating a welcoming space for your community, Starbucks invites you to join their team. This full-time leadership role demands flexibility to work variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic rhythm of a bustling coffeehouse environment. Joining Starbucks means connecting with something bigger, striving for excellence, and making a positive impact every day.
