Job Description

Panda Express is a leading American Chinese restaurant chain renowned for delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences. Established in Glendale, California, in 1983, Panda Express has grown into the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting close to 2,800 locations globally. The company prides itself on embracing family values and creating a workplace where associates are inspired to better their lives, contributing positively to both the team and the communities where they operate.

Panda Express is committed to the professional and personal development of its associates, offering comprehensive support including paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and a caring community focused on your success. Joining Panda Express means becoming a part of a vibrant, inclusive team that values diversity and equal opportunity. The organization stands firmly against discrimination and is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals to foster a supportive work environment.

The role of Store Manager at Panda Express is a pivotal position responsible for the overall operation of a single restaurant store. As a Store Manager, you lead a team of associates by hiring, managing, and directing them to achieve financial targets while ensuring outstanding guest experiences. The position demands strong leadership qualities, flexibility, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. To prepare you for this critical role, Panda Express offers an extensive store leadership training program that spans eight or more weeks, equipping you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to manage a successful store.

Your duties as a Store Manager will include overseeing day-to-day operations, maintaining food safety standards such as being ServSafe certified, staffing and scheduling, managing inventory, and driving sales growth. You will also be responsible for creating a motivating work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence. This role requires the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting, communicate effectively, and handle difficult situations with professionalism.

Panda Express seeks candidates who are flexible to work within a 50-mile radius of the store location and who are available to work a varied schedule, including weekends. Physical demands of the job include the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a kitchen environment with high heat and noise levels. Effective verbal communication and conflict management skills are essential, alongside the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Working as a Store Manager at Panda Express offers a unique career opportunity with a reputable organization that values growth, diversity, and the well-being of its staff. If you are a motivated leader looking to advance your career in the restaurant industry with an established and supportive company, Panda Express welcomes you to apply and become part of their Panda family.
