Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the American Chinese fast-food industry, celebrated for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction since its founding in 1983 in Glendale, California. Over the years, Panda Express has grown into the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in the United States, operating nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. The company prides itself on its family values, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where associates are inspired to improve both their professional skills and personal lives. Panda Express emphasizes training, mentorship, and community involvement, making it a leader in not just the industry, but also in employee development and satisfaction.

At Panda Express, the culture is built around a spirit known as "Panda Strong," which highlights dedication, growth, and community. Employees at Panda Express are part of a family that values diversity and equal opportunity, respecting all individuals regardless of race, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. The company also ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), aiming to create a workplace that is accessible and welcoming to all.

The available role is for a Store Manager, a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing a single store's entire operations. The Store Manager acts as the captain of the ship, overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's performance, including hiring, training, managing, and directing associates to meet and exceed financial goals. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional guest experiences by upholding the company's high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness. The Store Manager plays a crucial role in fostering team cohesion and maintaining a positive store atmosphere.

To set new managers up for success, Panda Express provides an extensive 8-week (or longer) paid Store Management Leadership Training program. This comprehensive training covers operational procedures, leadership skills, customer service excellence, and financial management. By participating in this program, new Store Managers gain the knowledge and confidence required to lead a team effectively and run a successful location.

The position requires flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work weekends, and the willingness to work in any store location within a 50-mile radius. Candidates must have a high school diploma and a Food Safety certification, specifically Serve Safe certification, which ensures compliance with food safety standards essential in a food-service environment.

Working as a Store Manager at Panda Express also involves physical demands such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, operating in a high-paced and sometimes noisy environment, and effectively communicating with team members and customers. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage conflicts gracefully is essential to succeed in this role.

This position stands out as an excellent opportunity for experienced leaders seeking a career with a respected and growing organization. Whether you are looking to build your management career in the food-service industry or seeking a supportive environment to grow your leadership abilities, Panda Express offers a platform filled with meaningful challenges, comprehensive support, and the chance to be part of one of the industry's most successful brands.
