Job Description

Panda Express is a leading American fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States with nearly 2,800 locations globally. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and operates with a strong commitment to family values. Panda Express focuses not only on customer satisfaction but also on the professional and personal development of its employees, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

The company is dedicated to building an organization where team members are inspired to better their lives, with an emphasis on respect, diversity, and equal opportunity. Panda Express is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, actively promoting diversity by not discriminating based on sex, gender identity, race, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. The company also complies with ADA regulations by providing reasonable accommodations during the application and hiring process.

As a Store Manager at Panda Express, you will be responsible for the overall operation of a single store location. This role involves critical leadership duties such as hiring, managing, and directing a team of associates to achieve financial objectives and deliver outstanding customer experiences. The Store Manager ensures that the store runs efficiently and meets the high standards set by Panda Express in quality, service, and cleanliness. The position requires a combination of strong leadership skills, business acumen, and a passion for customer service.

Panda Express offers a comprehensive Store Management Leadership Training program lasting eight or more weeks, designed to prepare you for success in this role. You will receive paid training, mentorship, and ongoing support from the Panda community, which is wholly committed to your growth and success. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are motivated to advance their careers in the restaurant industry and want to be part of a company with a long-standing tradition of excellence and community engagement.

Working as a Store Manager at Panda Express means you will often be in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where physical stamina and effective communication skills are essential. The job requires managing sales, inventory, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Flexibility is important as you may need to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends. The environment can be physically demanding with exposure to heat, noise, and the need to handle heavy lifting.

Panda Express values associates who are adaptable, problem solvers, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a bustling work environment. If you have a high school diploma, are Serve Safe certified, and are ready to take on the challenge of managing a store within a 50-mile radius, this role is an ideal fit. The work environment involves preparing hot and cold foods, using kitchen equipment, and maintaining quality and speed without sacrificing accuracy.
