Job Description

Panda Express is a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, specializing in American Chinese cuisine. Founded in Glendale, California, in 1983, it has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, boasting nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. Panda Express has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, flavorful Asian-inspired meals while prioritizing the personal and professional growth of its employees and associates. The company embraces family values, fostering a supportive community where its workforce is inspired to improve their lives and achieve success together. Panda Express is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring a welcoming environment for all team members regardless of their background or circumstances.

The Store Manager role at Panda Express is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the overall operation and success of a single store. This role requires an individual who can hire, manage, and direct a team of associates to meet financial targets and exceed guest expectations consistently. The Store Manager is at the heart of the store’s performance, ensuring smooth daily operations from staffing and training to customer service and food safety. To prepare candidates for this critical responsibility, Panda Express offers a comprehensive 8-week or longer Store Management Leadership Training program that equips new managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

As a Store Manager, you will assume full responsibility for your location, fostering an environment of teamwork, accountability, and excellence. Your leadership will drive your store’s financial performance, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction. You will also play a key role in maintaining Panda Express’s high standards for food safety and quality. The role demands flexibility, as managers must be prepared to work varied schedules, including weekends, to support the store’s needs. This position is ideal for candidates who are motivated by challenges, have a passion for customer service, and seek to grow within a company known for its commitment to employee development and community impact.

Panda Express offers a supportive work culture that values continuous learning, mentorship, and a strong sense of belonging. The organization emphasizes health and safety, employee well-being, and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure all employees can perform their duties effectively. This role involves the physical demands typical of a restaurant environment, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a dynamic, sometimes noisy kitchen setting. The company’s commitment to accessibility and accommodation underscores its dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace where all employees have the opportunity to succeed.

Joining Panda Express as a Store Manager means becoming part of a thriving community that balances business success with personal growth and social responsibility. If you are seeking a career with a respected, industry-leading brand that nurtures talent and celebrates diversity, Panda Express could be the perfect fit for you.
